The park has a wide variety of activities that appeal to both children and adults. The Looff Carousel is one of the most popular attractions at Riverfront Park. It was built in 1909 and is one of the best preserved hard-carved carousels in the United States. Originally located in Natatorium Park, the carousel was converted into a public park in the 1970s. The carousel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The carousel has a gift shop and restrooms. Riders can also take a ride on the Garbage Goat, a 145-foot steel-and-wire cable tensile structure. It was designed for Expo ’74. The carousel still operates for visitors today.
The Numerica SkyRide is another popular attraction at Riverfront Park. This 145-foot, high-speed cable ride reaches a height of 200 feet and is a great way to take in the sights of Spokane Falls. The ride passes under the historic Monroe Street Bridge, and offers excellent views of the falls. The ride is also wheelchair-accessible.
Riverfront Park has also been a venue for musical performances and live performances.
